So Blessed......or....Counting My Blessings

After that last entry,I had to go and hug my kids. My heart was just broken. To see the police chief break down on the news and cry on Oprah about how the children were being raped....to see Mayor Nagin just break down on the starving children in the Superdome...to hear the survivors talk about the children getting sexually attacked on their way to the bathroom-- it just took its toll on me. I love my kids and I could never imagine going through something like this with them, or having something like that happen to them. And it's because of my love for my babies that my heart breaks for their mothers and their little limp, violated bodies and irrevocably damaged souls.
